INFOKU, BLORA –As of the time of writing, the Blora DPRD seat vacated by Supriedi has not yet been filled.
Nearly three months after the Democratic Party DPRD member passed away, the interim replacement (PAW) process has not moved forward because the party's proposal has not yet been submitted to the DPRD.
It is known that Supriedi died on June 16 due to illness.
He is a member of the Blora DPRD as a result of the 2024 Election from Electoral District (Dapil) 5 which includes the Districts of Tunjungan, Banjarejo, and Ngawen.

In the 2024 election, the Democratic Party won a total of 9,803 votes in that electoral district.
Consisting of 1,083 party votes and 8,720 votes from nine legislative candidates.
Supriedi became the legislative candidate with the highest number of votes.
He bagged 7,535 votes, far ahead of the other candidates.
The Democrats are also entitled to one seat in the electoral district, however, that seat is currently still vacant.
Blora KPU Chairperson Widi Nurintan Ary Kurnianto said that until now his party had not received a letter proposing PAW.

"Until now, the proposal letter has not been received," he told the press.
Blora KPU Technical Division Coordinator Ahmad Solikin added that some time ago there were indeed representatives of the Democratic Party who coordinated with the KPU.
Discussion related to PAW files and requirements.
"Procedurally, the replacement candidate proposal is submitted by the political party to the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) leadership. The DPRD then forwards the document to the General Elections Commission (KPU) for verification," he explained.
He said that if all requirements were met, the DPRD would submit the name of the replacement candidate to the governor for further processing.
"Based on Blora General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 926 of 2024, the candidate with the most votes after Supriedi is Putri Aruri Risnawati. She received 360 votes," he said.
Solikin explained that the PAW process is still possible as long as the terms of office are met.

"Regency/City DPRD members will not be replaced if the remaining term of office of the replaced member is less than six months, calculated from the initial process of submitting the request for dismissal at the DPRD," he explained. (Endah/ IST )
